Croatian center for indigenous karst water fish and crab varieties
The Croatian Center for Indigenous Fish and Crayfish Species of Karst Waters was founded by the City of Otočac, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, the Ruđer Bošković Institute and the company Gacka d.o.o. In 2006, at the site of the old fish farm on Kostelka, a tributary of the Gacka River in Ličko Lešće near Otočac. The Center was founded in 2006, and officially opened on November 28, 2008, with the aim of the Center becoming a place of scientific and professional research, a place for raising brown trout fry for stocking the karst waters of the Republic of Croatia, as well as a tourist spot in the destination Gacko.
