Obućina Katica family farm is active in farming the traditional Lika sheep breed pramenka. The herd has about 320 breeding sheep. The primary product is meat, that is, the lambs which serve as a meat source. The farming in this farm is extensive. The sheep graze on karst pastures and meadows the whole day, and are controlled by shepherds and dogs. During the winter, the sheep are in a barn which protects them from predators, and are fed with hay and self-grown grains. The farm grows alfalfa and barley-jari, triticale-ozimi, wheat-ozima. The farm is located on a surface of about 54 ha. The herd is in the certification system, and the farmed lambs as a product carry the designation of origin or geographical heritage „Lika lamb“. The lambs wean until they leave the farm, and they additionally graze and are fed with grains. They are sold when they reach 24 to 36 kg in liveweight (12 to 18 kg of carcass), which makes them 60 to 160 days old.
