Markanjević family farm has only 2900 square meters and, as such, it is a small farm that serves all your needs. We are a family of five and we all take part in the farming in our own capacities. Beside the livestock and the vegetable garden grown for our own needs, we also planted also a small orchard two years ago and it has about 15 trees (apples, pears, cherries, sour cherries and plums), and there are also some old trees remaining in the farm (plums, apples, walnuts, cherries, wild cherries). We have also planted strawberries, raspberries and blackberries, as well as the so-called plant of the future; chokeberry. We started with about 200 seedlings, and there are now 700. We have expanded by means of the EU funding, which enabled us to buy more land and seedlings. We sell the fresh picked fruits, and if they are not sold, we process them into juice and jams, which makes our supply versatile, depending on the year and the fruit in question.
